Should I choose .com or .co.uk or other extension In brief if your market is only targeting the UK then .co.uk is perfect, if you intend to sell or promote yourself internationally then .com is best. .com is considerably higher in cost.

When choosing a domain name try to register one that says what you do e.g. Plasteringinkent.co.uk no need to register your limited company name unless you’re an established brand. Google will better understand your business if your domain says what you do.
Search for your perfect domain name, be creative with your choice. Try not to make it too long as your emails will be the domain.
No spaces or special characters permitted, but you can include numbers for example music4you if musicforyou is already registered.
You will need your debit or credit card and a valid email you can access for years to come such as a gmail or Hotmail or other email.
How Long Does A Domain Last?
Domains are rented yearly, one year the shortest period or you can pay to rent the domain for 10 years if you wish. You pay immediately to register your domain so have your card to hand. You can register your domain in your personal name or in your company name so have your company registration details to hand.
You will need a valid email you can access in the future this is where domain renewal reminders are sent.
Hide Your Details
You can elect to ‘hide’ your registrant details if you wish for a small fee. The WHOIS search will display all registrants details unless you choose to hide them.
